Dear Val
I laughed, I cried but in the end I just hope I'm able to do the same as you did.
Love Moi

This is one of the best pieces you have written, thematically, structurally and above all else poeticallly. Bravo!!!!! Such heart felt writing about the heart but not airy fairy. Just really true that only writing from a deep well can create.

By the way, men are not the only ones who can have perennial thorns. You just have to remember that thorns are their way of protecting their own hearts. A trained florist will skillfully remove thorns from roses before arranging them. When meeting perennial thorns in life we sometimes have to figure out a compassionate way to disarm the thorns and free that person's heart.

Awwww... that's sweet.

I guess you just have to be careful about those people who are flowering perennial shrubs with thorns.
